The indy film maker / post production shop needs lots of fast drive space. The TeraScoop Pro enables the final capture to be taken first cut with up to 22 hours of DVCpro50 space available on a working cut. The TeraScoop Pro is fast enough to be used as both the scratch and capture disk and output disk simultaneously. Streamlining the work flow by enabling the trailers and finals to be cut from the same work set. With relatively low cost, the production house can use a TeraScoop Pro for each client work files and final cut. The ability to pull and cut as director demands can save thousands in resample and recapture costs. No need to transfer to lossy tape or dump customer files for drive space simply attach another fresh TeraScoop Pro and store the clients TeraScoop in the provided Carry Case.

The TeraScoop Pro is a 3.6TB or 4,0TB 8 drive array with a temperature controlled fan system. The Fan assembly uses 9 ultra quite Sunon MagLev 40 MM fans and the noise level is less than the 26DB advertised by the drive manufacturer.

The Speed of the 4.0TB TeraScoop Pro is measured at 540MBS sustained. The Hitachi 500GB drive units are mounted directly to the inner plate that acts as a heat sink for the drives. Additional drives are mounted in contact with the outer case providing additional heat sink area for the drives. Internally the cooling system manages air flow providing more than adaquate cooling for all of the drives. The outer case provides near silent air flow.

The 400W power supply is more than necessary providing years of trouble free service.

The Connectivity is provided through a dual Infiniband 4x Multilane cables to a PCI-X or PCIe HighPoint RocketRaid Controller. Our included PCI bracket provides for single slot occupation on all of our interconnects.

All TeraScoop Configurations use new manufacturersimageswarrantied Hard Drives. All configurations use UL listed and EC approved components. Drives are preformated for large file size performance. Installation Kits provide all necessary hardware and components for Raid Controller cards. TeraScoop Pro can be ordered with PCI-X or PCI-Express controllers. Standard Warranty
Products sold by Digital Virgin Inc. are supported by our Standard Warranty unless otherwise indicated. Merchandise under our Standard Warranty may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund or returned for replacement within one year of the original invoice date. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

Physical Damage Policy
Physical damage to any product purchased at Digital Virgin Inc. will effectively void our standard and/or Extended Warranty coverage.
Improper installation or modification of products are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes but is not limited to improper handling and/or any other type of damage sustained by irregular usage.

Retail Products
Retail merchandise is warranted by Digital Virgin Inc. for 30 days. Additional warranty coverage is offered. Digital Virgin Inc. will only warrant retail products beyond 30 days under special circumstances. If you encounter one of the following instances, please contact us and we will honor the warranty advertised on our website at your time of purchase:
• The manufacturer will not service end-users or does not have an RMA procedure.
• The manufacturer is based overseas or does not have contact information.

OEM Products
OEM merchandise is covered by our Standard Warranty (30 day refund, 1-year replacement) unless otherwise indicated.

Software
Software may only be returned for refund within 30 days of the invoice date if the retail/OEM packaging is unopened and untampered with. Opened software cannot be returned for refund. If you have opened a software purchase to discover a damaged and/or defective disc, you may exchange the software for an identical replacement by contacting Digital Virgin Inc. Customer Service at service@Digital Virgin Inc. and acquiring an RMA number. Digital Virgin Inc. is not responsible for system/software incompatibility, and incompatibility issues do not qualify software as damaged or defective.

Refurbished Products
Digital Virgin Inc. offers a 15-day refund warranty on all refurbished merchandise.

Bundle Specials
Bundle Specials contain multiple items offered together at a discounted price. Only one of each Bundle Special may be purchased per order. Offers valid only while supplies last. Purchasing multiple units of a Bundle Special that feature a mail-in rebate may yield only one redeemable rebate offer (per the manufacturer's "limit one per household" provision). If you wish to return a Bundle Special for a refund, you must return the ENTIRE BUNDLE within 30 days of purchase. Note that a 15% restocking fee will be applied. Components within a Bundle Special may be returned for replacement only. Individual items may only be returned for replacement if an RMA number is acquired within the Standard Warranty period.

Hitachi provides three years on the drives in the TeraScoop lines.
