The trick with web buttons is limited size for graphic clarity and text legibility. Most company logos translate poorly to the standard button sizes for web ad campaigns. Comunicating company identity and message is more of an art of hinting than actual images. These examples demonstart this ability to hint at an image or a identity without actually having the image at a veiwable size. This iconography is used to both attract the eye and induce the viewer to click the link.

Joan Herrington recently comissioned this button to use for her Chamber of Commerce ad campaign. Looking at the button on the right it seems to be clear and the multicolor flash draws the eye to the image. When enlarged we can see how little image information is actually present. This button communicates the following things. Atttractive physical image, Coldwell Banker real estate agent, Property is sold and the tag line expect the best.
